Rick Hansen Wheels In Motion - Toronto
The 6th Annual Rick Hansen Wheels In Motion will take place in communities across Canada on June 8, 2008. Many events will feature the unique Scotiabank Wheelchair Challenge, which is a fun and exciting experience where teams compete in a series of challenging activities designed to foster a better understanding of what it is like to navigate through life using a wheelchair.
Competitors will race against the clock through an obstacle course and test their dexterity, wheelchair hockey skills, and mouth painting abilities. Wheels In Motion is a great team building opportunity and also provides an environment in which people with SCI, researchers and service providers can make a connection and build a broader community.
Funds raised through Wheels In Motion support Quality of Life solutions that allow people with spinal cord injury to lead active and healthy lives. Since 2003, Wheels In Motion has raised more than $7.6 million to support research and more than 700 Quality of Life solutions for people living with spinal cord injury.
